A journalist currently in the second year of my Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree, I aim to empower diverse voices through my work. Thriving in formats like print, multimedia, and photography, I am determined to use these mediums to create a platform for communities who have gone unheard. In today’s world filled with transformation, I believe in the power of storytelling through data and statistics because readers have a right to fact-checked and accurate information. I seek out opportunities where I can explore the humanity behind facts, allowing me to connect to a dynamic network of individuals.
I am currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Swanston Gazette, RMIT University’s student-run publication, and I hope to hone my journalistic skills through this role, allowing all kinds of voices to contribute to the paper. Working with SYN Media, I am also a part of Get Cereal and Asian Pop Nation as a radio host and PR manager. My experience in radio has allowed me to explore different ways of storytelling and how to deliver a story clearly and succinctly.
